Punxsutawney Area Hospital chooses ECDS ...PUNXSUTAWNEY AREA HOSPITAL PARNTERS WITH EMPOWER SYSTEMS
ECDS (Emergency Care Documentation Systems) is proud to announce their recent partnership with Punxsutawney Area Hospital in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. PAH has selected ECDS to deliver EmpowER, their comprehensive EDIS, to PAH’s emergency department in order to increase productivity and further improve already top-notch patient care.
With their new paperless charting system, PAH doctors and nurses can access patient information at any time rather than having to search for a paper chart or for each other. Patients are electronically tracked while in the ED, speeding up the patient flow process and reducing the time patients spend in the waiting room. EmpowER also mandates risk management features, such as automatic prompts that notify doctors and nurses of drug allergies or potential drug-to-drug interactions, helping to ensure patient safety.
