EmpowER to be implemented at SOMC's two EDs...SOUTHERN OHIO MEDICAL CENTER PARTNERS WITH HEALTHCARE IT VENDOR
ECDS is proud to announce their newest partnership with Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. ECDS has been selected to deliver our critically acclaimed EmpowER System to SOMC’s emergency department, with a schedule go-live date of June WHAT?.
The handwritten patient chart is going by the wayside, and SOMC’s emergency department is upgrading its technology to reflect this change. With EmpowER, doctors and nurses will be able to access patient information at any time rather than having to search for a paper chart. A patient’s visit to the ED is electronically tracked, speeding up triage and registration and thus reducing the time patients spend in the waiting room. EmpowER also provides invaluable risk management features, such as automatic prompts, which remind doctors and nurses of drug allergies or potential drug-to-drug interactions, helping to ensure the maximum standard in patient safety.
The EmpowER System makes doctors and nurses more efficient, accurate and fast while providing the highest quality of care. ECDS is proud of this new partnership and looks forward to helping Southern Ohio Medical Center to further pursue its commitment to its patients and community. This marks ECDS’ second partner hospital in the state of Ohio, the first being Alliance Community Hospital, which went live with EmpowER on March 2nd. |
