Former A4 / ALLSCRIPTS Team Member Joins ECDS
(Chicago, IL; September 15, 2006) – ECDS is thrilled to welcome JAMES HAND, RN BSN, MBA, to our team as our National Sales Manager. Jim comes to us from A4 Health Systems, which was recently purchased by Allscripts.
 A graduate of Emory University, Jim brings with him a decade of experience educating physicians and nurses on AHA guidelines, ECC programs, and many other areas of his expertise. In 1996, Jim began his career as an entrepreneur and started AMH Group, a consulting and continuing education services resource for physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare personnel. Jim’s impressive client list includes The American Heart Association, Kaiser Permanente, Emory Healthcare, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Jim will continue to provide these invaluable educational services in addition to his full-time role with ECDS.
As a registered nurse, Jim is familiar with the patient flow process and need for comprehensive documentation, having worked as the Critical Care and Emergency Department Supervisor at Crawford Long Hospital in Emory, GA, where he also acted as a Critical Care Resource Nurse in neuro-surgical ICU, CVICU, and emergency services. From there, Jim moved on to a position as Emergency and Trauma Services Clinical Coordinator in the level-2 trauma center of North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, GA. During his time at North Fulton, Jim also acted as Systems Administrator for A4, managing the customization and training of the Healthmatics ED application. While at North Fulton, Jim was an independent consultant for A4 Healthsystems. Jim later assumed a full-time position with A4 Health Systems and traveled the country training physicians and nurses on the Healthmatics ED program, as well as maintaining a concurrent role as A4’s regional sales manager in the southern United States.
Jim impressed the ECDS team immediately by hitting the ground running with his strong work ethic and his many plans for the ECDS sales department.
