Lexington Medical Center Receives Prestigious Press Ganey Summit Award (09/20/06)
LEXINGTON MEDICAL CENTER RECEIVES PRESS GANEY SUMMIT AWARD
(New York, NY; November 20, 2006) – Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC, received the health care satisfaction industry’s most prestigious award at a ceremony on Monday, November 13 at the Press Ganey National Client Conference in New York City.
Lexington Medical Center’s ambulatory surgery department was bestowed with this honor for consistently sustaining a level of excellence for a minimum of three years. This symbol of achievement was awarded to only 61 facilities in the United States in the categories of Ambulatory Surgery, Emergency Department, Inpatient, Medical Practice, and Outpatient Services.
More than 2,100 health care leaders attended this annual event to congratulate the winners of the Summit Award, as well as the Compass Award, which recognizes the most improved facilities in a two-year period in the categories of patient and resident satisfaction; and the Success Stories Award, given to organizations that have overcome challenges, demonstrated leadership, and implemented organizational change in order to improve patient satisfaction.
