Computer aptitude, general office skills, cold-calling ability, willingness to take direction, and an energetic demeanor are necessary. This is a full-time, in-house position for an independent contractor based in the Chicago metro area. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience writing flexible HL-7 interfaces and will be able to work independently, and be able to efficiently structure both unidirectional and bidirectional HL7 interfaces between application and core HIS from the application side. The ability to filter data received is necessary and having tools to monitor/notify of interface failure at all times is required. Multiple types of HL-7 interfaces will be needed in this position. The perfect candidate would have skills in both HL-7 interfacing and be an expert in scripting for clients unable to use HL-7. The candidate must be well-organized and able to multi-task, be able to interact with client hospitals, and keep integration projects on track.
