STABLE MICROSOFT SQL PLATFORM
The stability of Microsoft products is indisputable. EmpowER ED™ was built on an open systems architecture as a philosophical basis for the future of healthcare IT. SQL is an incredibly robust, stable database that can store almost unlimited information. Proprietary systems, on the other hand, are not as stable, are more difficult and expensive to maintain, and require more downtime—unlike EmpowER ED™, which requires virtually no downtime.

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE
EmpowER ED™ works with any Windows-based hardware, from desktops to wirless laptops to touchscreens. The hardware selected by your hospital is a matter of user preference, depending on whether users like to point and click, tab, scroll, or employ touchscreens. EmpowER Systems® suggests that users employ the art of scrolling to navigate through EmpowER ED™.

ENTERPRISE CAPABILITY
EmpowER ED™ offers a non-redundant, seamless transfer of information between the hospital and its urgent care center, or from hospital to hospital. (Example: If a patient goes to the urgent care center, the clinicians capture information. Then, if that patient is admitted to the hospital, the clinicians at the hospital can pull up the exact chart and provide care without entering the previous information. The same process can occur easily between hospitals in a network.)

COMPREHENSIVE IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY
EmpowER Systems® will provide your hospital with its own personalized EmpowER Implementation & Project Management Manual. As the vendor with the most comprehensive installations in the EDIS industry, it is with great confidence from the experience EmpowER Systems® has amassed that every step from user training to go live to interfaces down to a science. This means less than 40 hours of work total for hospital IT staff.

EFFICIENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT
EmpowER Systems® employs real time project management software to ensure that both our team and the hospital’s team can quickly identify the status of tasks leading up to go live. EmpowER Systems®, in effect, outsources to itself the function of most traditional roles the hospital must fulfill on a project of this nature. This means we do the work for you, preventing additional costly FTEs and enabling us to guarantee full deployment of EmpowER ED™ in 90 days or less, while most projects of this nature are still underway after many years.
